Miss Madelyn is doing so much better! As of today, she is off of the oxygen and iv's and should be transferred out of NICU either tonight or tomorrow morning. There's a pretty strict schedule in the NICU, so Alayna and Tim are only able to go and see her at certain times. They're anxious for her to be released to regular care so that they can love on her and get to know her. Alayna is fairly sore today, but is trying to get up and move more. It sounds like they'll both be staying at the hospital until Monday. Thanks for checking in!

Alayna is so blessed to have a sister like you! Knowing from pesonal experience, Sisters are one of the greatest blessings God have given us, and it is a result of our Heavenly Father blessing us with Parents who love us so much and create such a wonderful family. I will always remember something Aunt Afton said to me during the times we spent together while Grandma was sick. She was so sincere when she told me how concerned she was about my well-being and how she worried about me. . . . Because the only other person in this world that will care about and love your children as much as your do . . . .is your Sister. And I can see that love with you and Alayna.

She is such a cutie, I am glad she is doing better. That would be so hard not to be able to hold your new baby. I hope she has lots of help when she gets home.
Lindsay, thanks so much for posting these pictures!! That little Madelyn is absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad she's doing better, and is off the oxygen, bless her heart. I can't even imagine how Alayna felt not being able to hold her little girl, I've thought about her so much this week. I'm dying to call her, but it's so overwhelming when you first get home, so if you talk to her just let her know we're sure thinking about them, and they've all been in our prayers!! Thanks for the update! p.s. your blog is adorable, by the way...I can't believe how big your kids are getting! Such a cute family.

Your new little niece is adorable. My heart goes out to Alayna, I know what it is like having a baby in the NICU and it isn't any fun, but it is worth it making sure you are taking home a healthy baby. Hopefully she will be able to get some rest and be ready for when she does come home. Easier said than done. How exciting that she's here though!
