The last couple weeks of school, the kids had a number of programs. Tanner's wonderful teacher put on a Mother's Day program in her classroom. The kids sang a number of songs and read cute letters to each of their moms. Tanner had warned me that I might cry a little bit; he knows me so well. What I wasn't expecting was for him to get a little teary-eyed as well. It was something I'll always remember. The whole 1st grade also put on a program for their parents. The music teacher at the school is amazing and did such a great job. Tanner has loved the songs that they've been learning.
Mrs. Cynthia Dunaway-teacher extraordinaire
The fifth-graders performed a patriotic program for the whole school the day before school got out. At the program, one fifth-grade boy and girl from each class was presented the "Hope of America" award. Each teacher is suppose to select a boy and girl who does well in school, is friendly and accepting of others, and is well-rounded. Treyson was pretty excited that his teacher chose him to receive the award. Nate wrote a nice little tribute about Treyson that we read at the assembly. We're so proud of Treyson and the good student he is. He loves school and has had such an awesome teacher this year.
